Quick answer
Choose Snake Mountain if you want a compact display piece with Skeletor's lair; pick Castle Grayskull if you prefer a larger hero stronghold with more NanoWorld figures.
What sets these two apart
Both sets recreate iconic locations from the Masters of the Universe universe, but they differ in scale and figure count. Castle Grayskull includes 16 NanoWorld figures, while Snake Mountain comes with 12. That extra handful of figures makes the castle feel more populated right out of the box.
The price difference is modest — Castle Grayskull lists at USD 65.99 (down from USD 99.99) and Snake Mountain at USD 56.09 (down from USD 84.99). The castle costs about USD 10 more but also gives you four extra figures and a larger structure.
Display and play considerations
Snake Mountain features the villain's fortress, which stands tall with special effects and authentic details. It's a strong centerpiece for a Skeletor-focused display. Castle Grayskull is the refuge for the Heroes of Eternia, so it fits naturally alongside hero figures and vehicles.
Both sets are designed to be collected together — the product descriptions explicitly encourage building the movie by collecting all sets. If you plan to own both eventually, the order doesn't matter much. Start with whichever faction you prefer.
